Smirnoff’s ‘EQUALISING MUSIC’ initiative is a 3-year campaign to shine a light on the achievements of women in electronic music and aims to escalate gender parity within the genre by 2020.

EQUALISING MUSIC was launched last year and at the time only 17% of festival headliners and just 5% of recognised producers in the music industry were women.

Smirnoff wants to help change all that. Llisten below to LBC talking to Sam Salameh, Head of Smirnoff, about their Equalising Music Campaign.

Smirnoff’s Ambassador Programme

In association with Global, Smirnoff have brought on board five key DJ figures; The Black Madonna, Nastia, Peggy Gou, Honey Dijon and Artwork to collaborate with them and support the Smirnoff Equalising Music campaign for 2018.

In turn, the ambassadors found 10 of the UK’s best undiscovered female DJ talent. These 10 are now being mentored by the ambassadors.
